OVERVIEW:

Loan Officers work with clients located in California, who are looking to either purchase or refinance their home. Loan Officers are responsible for building rapport, analyzing the borrower’s financial situation and determining the appropriate products to meet our clients’ needs. It is expected that you take the initiative to generate your own client base and/or work leads provided by in-house real estate professionals. In addition to communicating daily with the owner, Loan Officers must stay abreast of new types of loans, guideline changes and other financial products in order to meet the customer’s needs and maintain compliance. They must also resolve issues/difficulties across multiple departments while maintaining a high level of service to internal and external customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

After determining the best product for the client, our Loan Officers will lock the loan at the point of sale, request initial documents, and submit a preliminary paperless loan package without having to process the loan.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • NMLS SAFE ACT compliant & hold an active Real Estate License (If you don't have a License we have courses available to help you get licensed).
  • Connects very quickly to clients via phone presentation; builds and maintains client relationships
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • Excellent follow-up and communication skills with borrowers, internal partners and teammates
  • Ambitious professional who is motivated by opportunity for advancement
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and sales skills
  • Knowledge of loan origination and servicing software (training available)
  • Able to maintain compliance with financial and lending practices
  • Must Complete Annual Compliance Training (Fee applies)​

This course is designed for mortgage loan originators that are brand new to the mortgage industry.

UWM has partnered with Mortgage Educators and Compliance to host a virtual training for MLOs brand new to the industry. In this class, MEC will cover the 20 hour Pre-Licensing curriculum needed to become licensed, while UWM will be introducing learners to the tools and technology that will help them become successful in their roles.

Please note, this training requires a $100 deposit to join. This deposit is potentially refundable if all of the following criteria are met:

1 - Must attend the entire 20 hour live webinar all days
2 - Attend all UWM and MEC live webinar training's.
3 - Complete the MEC online test prep
4 - Attempt the NMLS National test 30 days after this track has concluded. 
5 - Verification of completion must be emailed directly to MEC to receive a refund of the deposit. (Must submit within 30 days)

The deposit becomes non-refundable if any of these steps are not completed.​​
